Did really great this weekend but came across a real mystery while dining at a steakhouse with friends on Sunday.

I ordered perfectly. I said I just wanted grilled zucchini, a porterhouse steak with no glaze and an unsweetened iced tea. My friends got bread with a honey butter....hate them!

I took two bites of my zucchini and thought..."hmmm, this is awfully sweet. Put it aside for now." I then proceeded to devour my steak which had no glaze but had some kind of spice-rub on top...very hot but good. Once I had finished about 75% of the steak the waiter came by and I asked him about the zucchini. He said they glaze it while grilling in a sugar-water glaze. WHA???? Then I asked about the steak. Yes, the rub has sugar in it too. ARG!!!!!!!

I'm beginning to believe that the Sugar Association is secretly sticking sugar into ALL our restuarant foods in order to sabotage us and re-addict us to the stuff!

Disappointed, but refusing to use it as an excuse to sabotage myself, I was perfect for the rest of the weekend and landed myself 2 more pounds down on the scale this morning!

Sugar on steak...please! It's a good thing I occasion a local steakhouse that believes the only thing you need on a steak is salt and pepper.

So, to recap, Outback Steakhouse? BAD! Lonestar Steakhouse? GOOD!
