    2big4mysize said this about whey:

If you have Whey protein isolate you can use it in induction if it is whey protein powder wait for OWL or after the first 2 weeks as it does have some lactose carbs in it and if it is whey powder toss it in the trash.

Whey Protien Isolate is VERY EXPENSIVE!!!

It would be near impossible to make a shake that is induction friendly.

No fruit, soy, milk, yogurt etc. is allowed.

So, unless you can come up with something with the isolate, eggs, cream, splenda or cream cheese, the shakes will probably have to wait for OWL.

Here is an Induction friendly smoothie:

I love this recipe, thanks NurseLady

      PUMPKIN SMOOTHIE

for 2 large servings toss into the blender

1 cup cooked pumpkin puree (I roast pumpkin chunks with a little butter and kosher salt in a heavy duty covered pan in the oven until very soft) to make it easy use canned pumpkin it is great as well!
1/2 cup heavy cream (use less if you want to)
cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger to taste (or any combo of pumpkin spices you like)
      1 tsp vanilla (check label)
2 tsp maple extract (check label)
splenda to taste (I actually leave it out as I do not use the stuff)
2 cups ice and just enough water to get it going in the blender I am thinking it takes about a cup)
blend well and enjoy!!!! you can make this festive with a dollop of whipping cream sprinkle of cinnamon

you can toss a fresh raw egg in and call it breakfast!!

I've also put a little whey protein isolate to bulk it up a bit. Very tasty!!!

wow thanks. I didn't know that Whey Protein powder wasn't ok for the induction. I guess i'll just have to wait until after induction.

Thanx Calyn, for the recipe. I appreciate it! But i'm not really fond of pumpkin. But i think my sister is, though. I'll pass it over to her.
