Soncocho..hmm I miss it! I think, if you consume it in extreme amounts it may have a negative effect..but I wouldn't worry if I were you.

Read the last sentence in this quote

Yuccas are widely grown as ornamental plants in gardens. Many yuccas also bear edible parts, including fruits, seeds, flowers, flowering stems, and more rarely roots, but use of these is sufficiently limited that references to yucca as food more often than not stem from confusion with the similarly spelled but botanically unrelated yuca

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yucca <---search for Yucca you get Yucca (not the same thing as Yuca)

And yes, tapioca is made from
              cassava (manioc) root

we are actually talking about food and what it is called regionally ..in the US a lot of people call it yucca ...even when they are speaking English as if it matters really food is international language of love peace and happiness from my perspective

a lot of words from other languages become our by osmossis thank Goodness or we would not have too many words to begin with

and it is ok about my grandmother she was like 100 or something and really truly an awful person!!! I feel bad saying that because you should not speak ill of the dead..but she seriously was the role model for me as how NOT to behave....now I guess I am on my own at trying to be good
