I got mine from House of Fraser for £24.99, it was reduced from £34.99.

Its grey and its not the baby one, maybe the next size up.

Yeah, mines grey all over aswell, but on the box it says "colour". I have absolutely no idea why.

Re: My New George Foreman Grilling Machine!

Tip for cleaning: I found that cleaning it while still "warm" was the easiest. Id just plug it back in and let it reheat. I know some people like to use wet paper towels and let it heat up then remove them. I just squeezed water over it. wiped it with a very wet soapy sponge, rinse with more water and done.

Re: My New George Foreman Grilling Machine!

With regards to the cleaning of it, I bought a little sponge from a hardware store which is part of the George Foreman range. Its specially made with ridges in it, to go along the plate of the GF. Definite gimic and a normal sponge would probably do just as good a job but there you go.

I will remember your tip of switching it back on, to warm up before cleaning though. Thanks.

I have got some lamb chops tonight for mine, and I have also just bought some peppers (1 yellow, 1 red and 1 green) and some mushrooms. I'm quite looking forward to playing with my new toy.

One question. Am I the only one who had a problem with the teflon flaking off onto my food? No, I didn't use metal utensils with it, or abuse the machine in any other sort of way.

So yeah, the thing I hate about frying sausages, bacon, etc...is that I often either have the hob up too high or I forget about it...buring the food and filling the apartment with greasy smoke.
So, I bought the Big George Foreman grill today and it's great!
Very simple to use and my place won't be filled with smoke and grease!
I'm very, very happy about that!
Here's a pic of Big George and his first effort (bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs)

Re: My New George Foreman Grilling Machine!

I'm so glad to read all of this. I have had one for about a year and half now and hardly use it. I'm not very creative and just got a whole lot of neat ideas. Since it'll be raining here all weekend (thanks to Hurricane Ernesto - or Tropical Depression I guess now), I think I'll pull it out and play around. Got lots of meats and veggies.

And I used to hate cleaning it, but have found it much easier if warm. I think I'll try your sponge suggestion, Sashie.

Never had problems with teflon. But now I do wish I had the adjustable temperature one. Mine is on or off and that's it.

Mmmm...melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil??? Sounds delish!!

I will have to post a picture of mine.....

Let me know what ideas you come up with guys!! I've got some cherry tomatoes, button mushrooms, red and green peppers and I've gona make some veggie skewers.

Has anyone tried the Chicken Satay recipe on the Atkins website? I made the skewers for a BBQ a few months a go and they were AMAZING!!! I think I will try them on my new grill.
