Where can I find flax crackers???

Hello!

Where can I find flax meal? Is it induction safe? What does it taste like? I see recipes for flax seed I think? Can anyone help please???

As far as I know flax is Induction safe but some people can stall with it (am I wrong?)

I bought flax seed meal (already ground up) at Stop & Shop, it was in the baking aisle near the flour, corn meal, etc. It doesn't have much of a taste on its own, though I've only used it in the flax pancakes and as a substitute for bread crumbs on chicken cutlets. Both were delicious!!

(Edited b/c I forgot to answer the actual quesetion!) As for flax crackers, I think you can make them from the meal or full seeds, though I havent tried

Thanks for the responses guys. I have had a little bit of flax/splenda/cinnaman/butter, and it tastes almost like oatmeal. I haven't found flax crackers yet...hmmm

I buy mine at GNC and Walmart. Trader Joe's has it too along with blueberry flavored flax. Not sure on the carb count though its been awhile since I've been there.

Ohh, blueberry flavored, I'll have to see if I can find flavored flax seed around here. I don't have much experience with flax.

Trader Joes has some.. They also carry flax chips. I have seen them but never purchased them. So I haven't read the ingredients and don't know what else is in them.

I buy flaxseed meal at wild oats market and I have bought the flax chips from trader joes too. they have soy and corn meal lin them. flaxseed, soy, tortilla chips. very good

the walmart one on the baking isle I used to buy but its a little too strong flavored for me. I bought a big bag of Bobs red meal (flax) and it's really not that strong tasting and the taste it has is more nutty flavor.
