Heavy cream (whole cream) you can mix it with some water. What are you making?

Isn't that high in carbs? I would be careful.

well I'd agree to ditch the tapioca but Hood also makes a low carb mil product. I've used it before for hot chocolate. it isn't for induction though, plus it's kind of hard to find.

The Hood Carb Countdown milk (plain or chocolate) is pretty good but for me personally it was a no-go because I found myself craving things like cereal, pudding, cookies etc. that "go with" milk so now it is just small amounts of cream on berries or recipes and in my morning coffee. Your mileage may vary though--we have it here in our Walmart (near the soy milk and Lactaid).

                Re: milk substitute

                Milk substitutes:

Induction Phase: heavy cream---thin it down with water.

                OWL Phase:
                Rung 1: same as Induction
Rung 2: same as Induction or use whole milk
Rung 3: same as Rung 2 or use the nut "milks"
Rung 4: same as Rung 3
Rung 5: same as Rung 3
Rung 6: same as Rung 3 or use soy milk
Rung 7, Rung 8, Rung 9: same as Rung 6.

PS. Tapioca is made from a root vegetable. It's legal to have it during OWL Rung 8. Therefore, if you have progressed that far in your Atkins, I don't see why you would need a "milk substitute".
