Good with chicken and a salad. Spotted it in a pamphlet I received at a recent cooking class. With the sour cream, you'll of course need to watch your serving amount:
Fresh Avocado Dressing
1 ripe avocado, peeled and pitted
1 cup sour cream
2 Tbsp lemon or lime juice
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/8 tsp chili powder
water to thin out
Combine in blender then add water until it is the desired thickness that you want. If you thin it out to about 6 servings, I came up with the following:
