    I just bought two rutabeggas but never have tried any just thought i would, any good recipes and what kind of taste do they have. And are we allowed to have them, i guess i should have asked that before buying lol.

    They are allowed during the 'starchy vegetable' rung of OWL Phase. They are milder (usually) tasting than those purple and white turnips. Otherwise, cook them the same way as turnips.

      thank you for responding, well i guess i will throw those out lol, im far away from the starchy veggie rung, i was not sure, i never ate them so i thought i would try them and i thought i seen someone use them for fries, but i tried the jicama today and i love turnip fries so those two will be fine for my faux potato recipes.

        When you get to the appropriate rung, rutabega is pretty good. I had some mashed at Thanksgiving.
