good for you :hug I love your new pics too

your triglycerides are up though is that from your trip eating and they haven't come back down? or is that because you are on a different phase of Atkins and eating more comples carbs?

Goodon ya! DIdi I say it right?

ya I assumed it was from the spike in carbs then but I eat about 40 to 50 gr a day so may be up from them too, still below norm though but not as good so will see what three months brings. if A1c up from holiday then see it can be related.you;d think being good for a month would drop the trig though wouldnt you???What else can raise them??

genetics, changing your exercise plan or type of foods as triglycerides are actually the storage form of fats in animals which was why DR Atkins so boldly said in the absence of carbohydrates your tryglicerides will go down! as the body is forced to burn them for fuel. Your body could just have been pulling a big load of them out of your fat cells for breaking down for fuel and had a slight back log in the metabolism system at the time your blood was drawn as just one way they could have gone up a bit.
Since your doc wasn't worried I was just curios if you had moved to a higher carb level now or something like that as with more carbs for burning we have more triglycerides waitng to get brokendown to fatty acids and glycerol.

Statins are a good friend for diabetics as more and more tests are showing as long as you keep tabs on your muscles and liver for early signs of any trouble and you have to be genetically predisposed to get that muscle condidtion now it appears from the later studies.

        HAppy low carbing.

using american standards it still says non diabetic but I use universal standards and 6.1 is the cut off,10 days of eating carbs, cant fool the lab, cant do shoulders as both recovering from torn rotor cuffs but did the rowing and went for 5km walk.
