So she blows a couple races and then quits.
This is an example of how NOT to live your life.
You learn a lot more thru failure than success...and it makes success so much sweeter. Now she'll always wonder if she could have done it.
Yes I think she was out of her gourd for even trying to train for an ironman tri, but no more than me trying to climb Rainier.
My shins are killing me, my feet are dead, but damn if I'm going to quit now.
And when I am on the mountain I will not quit until I am unconscious. (or the guides themselves turn back)
Anyways maybe she'll take a week off and get reenergized. I've been rooting for her.
I've done like 6 5K runs now. Every single one of them I finish near the back of the back. That sucks. Training is hard. But I'm not giving up.
Someday I'm going to run a 5K under 30 minutes. Someday I'll finish in the top 75%.
