  • Incline or Speed?

The lower half of my body really needs work; I carry most of my weight in my lower abs and butt. I know that my overall weight loss will reduce these area, but I've had no change in my hip measurements for about 3 months so I decided to switch to the treadmill to really work on my core strength and bottom half.

Anyway, I'm not sure which would be better to achieve my hope of getting firmer bottom half--by going at a slightly slower speed at a high incline or going at a faster speed on a flat incline. Granted I'm not strong enough to jog for long periods yet, but I usually alternate back beween jogging and fast walking for about 3 minutes on / 3 minutes off.

Does anyone have any input on this?

Then I gained some back, but let's not talk about that, shall we? 194.6/193.2/177.5/120

heart rate difference for the incline vs the flat?
you can do either one you want to burn fat as long as you keep your heart rate in your fatburning mode.

there is no spot reduction of any part. if it was so tennis players whould have one very flabby fat arm and one very skinny arm.

you need to develope your muscles to shape your legs while burning fat from your whole body.
