Okay, so do I have to do it with weights? I have a set of 8lb dumbbells I could use to add up to 16 pounds to do them, if I need to have weights!

Hey ladies! I did lower body:

Squats (the ones you showed me the other night where you actually touch yer bum to the bench) 32 lbs (this is the highest weight I have--need more)
Standing calf raises 32 lbs (definitely not enough)
                  Plies (21 lbs)
                  Deadlifts 32 lbs (not enough)
Abs 144, upper, lower, side crunches 36 each muscle group

I MUST go buy more plates this weekend. The arms are sore from the other night's workout, but not nearly as sore as last time, but I dropped the weight 10 lbs.

                  Gotta go change my siggy!

hi girls! I so derailed my lifting progress this week. I was in no shape to do it, so I am not going to dwell on it but I hate that I lost the momentum, ya know? Well, square 1 calls my name!

everyone else getting along fine? Of course, I already know the answer to that! I doubt even strep could get down sarah and jas - they would probably lay in bed and do leg lifts or something! LOL

Re: Sarah's Bodybuilding 101 for Week of March 20th

15 minutes of Start It Up video, was too much for my legs after lower body last night. The reason I did it was my arms were aching soooooo bad this morning. I couldn't even reach around to scratch an itch on my shoulder they hurt so bad. Soooo, I decided to work the pain out. My grandfather used to say, what put it in will take it out (re: pain)...so I did the videos. Guess what, my arms aren't achy and stiff...and I can reach all around. Sooo, maybe that's what I need to do when my muscles are real achy, is to do some sort of exercise (non-weighted) on the off days for that muscle group, just to get them moving.

Then I did 25 minutes on the elliptical and got my heart rate up to 197 (according to the ellip, that doesn't always work right). I talked to 2Big and got some information on how to HIIT. I'm going to try to go get a heart rate monitor today, and some extra plates.
