Although i'm annoyed Optimum stopped carrying Fit TV, i was clicking around the On Demand Service, and discovered a few free services that we might find very useful. "Mag Rack" is a channel that offers exercise programs named "Let's Get Physical" and "Get in Shape", and a low carb cooking series, although i'm not staking my rep on that just yet. There are also a bunch of other magazine based series on that onw. "Sportskool" is specifically geared toward different athletic and fitness disciplines. There are programs for general fitness, yoga, running, and a variety of sports. I think for those of us who are exercise video junkies, this is a great free service. Of course you have to be a Cablevision/Optimum subscriber, but I wouldn't be surprised if some of the other cable companies are doing the same thing.
I know I sound like i'm promoting the cable company, but I really think this is a great tool for those who are exercising at home.
