  • Jump Rope???

Does anyone out there jump rope for exercise? If so, how has it worked for you? I want to walk, don't have the time and get really bored with the WATP videos. I thought jumping rope might be fun also more challenging than just walking. Anybody else do it or tried it? All input, negative or positive, is greatly appreciated. Thanks

      Re: Jump Rope???

I havent tried it either, I have too much hanging stuff that flops and hurts with the impact but my mom swears by it. I read on another forum where ppl were using it as well and loved it.

          Re: Jump Rope???

Jumping rope is fabulous exercise, if your body and heart can take it! The average person burns 100 calories jumping for 10 minutes! Just make sure you do it outside or have a high ceiling!

Have you ever tried the WATP Walk/Jog Interval Training? I just got it and think it is a great aerobic workout. I didn't know she had fast-paced ones like this until I got my DVD last week.

                Re: Jump Rope???

Jumpin rope is good exercise. But, I find it to boring for more than a warmup. If you do the long rope w/3 people like back on the school yard it can be much less boring. Still very good exercise.

Since you're thinking about jumping, maybe you should look into rebounding. A rebounder is a mini trampoline. There are lots of great health benefits associated with rebounding.
