So - I'm a pretty active girl. I was a dancer all my life and when that had to stop I worked out ALOT - Running, Spinning, Pilates, plus my boyfriend is a personal trainer so that helps too (as far as weight training goes)...
My ONE problem is that I have trouble being consistent. You know how this goes...3 weeks your kicking butt in the gym 5 days a week, then the next 3 weeks your a lazy butt on the couch? - Well I signed up for a 10K with my girlfriend and forgot about it after I went on vacation and such...
It's THIS Sunday. I believe it's a flat trail and it's 6.2 miles to be exact. Now I told myself that since I haven't trained, I would go to the track and walk/run 6 miles everyday and then the day before - have a rest day...
I don't care about my TIMING...I just want to NOT be last. haha
So Tuesday I ran/walked 4 miles - and the walking was FAST paced and def felt the butt burning.. but then yesturday I went to the track and there was a game and they don't let you run so I just went home instead and cleaned the house - how stupid am i?! I should've walked/run around town or something....I just gave up on myself b/c I LOVE that track.
Today hopefully I can run and do the full 6 miles - I only stopped at 4 b/c I had to make it to my sisters on time for dinner (little girly date).
Ugh...any advise? Those 4 miles felt really good and I could have easily done 2 extra to complete the 6...I just hope I'm not dying on Sunday...I'm DEF not running the whole thing...I'll power walk/run at moderate pace-
I'm guessing it will take me 1 hour and 10 minutes. That's my guess..
