  • Just wanted to comment on a workout dvd

I have been trying to find a dvd that I feel like I am getting a workout with, where I am sweating after. Well I think I have found it.

Turbo Jam was recommended from a few people on Atkins.

Well I am here to say " I love it" I just got done with the learn and burn portion which is shorter than the rest and I was sweating as if I did 45 minutes on the stair stepper.

just wanted to share I am sold.

Good to have the feedback, saw it on TV and was planning to order it soon. My question is... is it user friendly for someone "way out of shape", I have no stamina and get out of breath quickly. I had a car accident a few years back and sad to say I have not exercised since my PT. Is the 20 minute workout a good starting point or should I do something else until my physical strength increases?

Yes she gos slow in the begining and shows you every step, and doesnt start the work out untill the next segment. Where as I have another dvd I think it is Billy Blanks boot camp? Yeah he gos a bit too fast for me and I cant keep up.

By the way Brook those before and after photos are amazing. You dont look like the same person. You look 10 yrs younger. Its crazy how extra weight makes a person look so much older. I hope once I am done I look 10 yrs younger. LOL

The Learn and Burn is the instructional portion of the DVD. She goes through the moves in the "Learn" section and then the "Burn" is a short workout.

The 20 minute workout uses the moves and lasts for about 20 minutes. If you can't keep up, just march in place to keep your heart rate up. I know that when I first started, I was doing a lot of marching in place.

The workouts get longer, but the moves are the same for all of them.

Thanks to you both for the additonal information, I know that the exercise is such an important part of not only losing the weight, but keeping it off and getting and staying healthy.

As soon as I have a little extra money this month, I'll make the purchase. Meanwhile I'm dusting off my Gazelle and will start walking again tomorrow!

                Quick question...

Did you order from the main site? I have read some on-line comments about their sales/service issues and overcharging and wondered how you made the purchases and if you had any problems.

                Thanks!

Re: Just wanted to comment on a workout dvd

I purchased it with my debit/credit card. I am doing the 3 payments. So far so good with the amount. They did keep asking me do you want to add this and that and I just kept saying NO not at this time. So they do try to sell you additional stuff, I ordered by calling the phone number not on line.

                    Thanks Robin!

I just ordered it from E-Bay and hopefully it will arrive soon. My hubby can't believe I spent that amount on exercise videos. I said what's the point on loosing weight if you're still out of shape, flabby, etc. I want to be healthy and actually get to my goal!!

I own everything Beach Body has ever put out (LOL. Seriously.) and have never had a shipping/payment issue. I always order online though and I've noticed that people who call are the ones that tend to have trouble. Go figure!
