You are ALL the best friends I've yet to meet (although I have met some and they ROCK!!) Thank you thank you thank you, from the bottom of my sore foot ... Your words of encouragement and optimism have lifted my spirits SO SO MUCH. I can never repay you !!! (where's the 'group hug' emoticon anyhow??)

I know this road will NOT be an easy one, and yet your collective words of encouragement will no doubt get me through !!!! Yesterday I cried with fear and disappointment with the news the doctor gave me; today I cry with heartfelt gratitude for this wonderful support board and all you TERRIFIC people without whose support I could not get through this !!! How can I say thanks enough? I can't. All I can do is try to pay it forward and encourage and inspire you as much as you have done both for me.

I ran today; 5.7 miles in pain, but I ran...all I could think of were your words that lifted my spirit enough to believe that "this too shall pass" and I WILL CONTINUE TO RUN ... there is no choice for me ... I am totally HOOKED on running .. so ... the die is cast so to speak. "doc, you'd better hurry up and get this procedure over with, cuz I got me a marathon to run on March 1, 2009, and with the support of my ADBB friends, I'M GONNA DO IT!

I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!

See you in Tampa on March 1, 2009 (if you're in the neighborhood and feel like cheering an ol' lady on to the finish line!)
