Hi,
I am kinda confused on how cardio fits into the Atkins WOE. There's a lot of literature that recommends low-intensity cardio for fat burning, but I just can't see how walking would be more effective than running. These studies claim that high-intensity cardio primarily burns carbs for fuel. But if we have so few carbs in our system by doing Atkins already, what will high-intensity cardio use for fuel? Our fat? Hopefully not muscle!
Personally, I like working out at a high intensity... it makes me feel good. But I don't want to sabotage my goal of losing weight. Can anyone help me out here? Thanks!
