So yesterday I was sitting quietly and reading and the next thing you know I am on the verge of falling asleep. I had not gotten in my cardio yet and I knew if I fell asleep I wouldn't get it in. So I talked myself into getting up. I figured I could at least do the 1 mile WATP, even though I was sooo tired. So I strapped into my heart monitor. Leslie gets annoying after a while so I decided to get out the ol' Ipod as well and walk to my own groove. Well Leslie got me warmed up and the music got my feet moving so well that shortly before Cool down on the tape I abandoned Leslie and her crew and starting running in place. Then I was running around the house. Then I was dancing and jamming out to the tunes. Pretty soon it was jumping jacks and more running. Low and Behold and hour had passed I had spend around 45 minutes in my target heart rate and the other 15 minutes slightly above. It took me forever to cool down and to get my HR to recover but it was sooo worth it. I felt energized and pumped for the rest of the day. And to think I was on the verge of a nap 5 minutes before deciding to get off my bum. My point is, you are often doing something that can wait or that you do not need to do. Why not take that time and exercise!?! Exercise is so important that the RDA for exercise is an hour on most days. Get out there and get moving, even if you don't feel like it. :icondance :guns :icondance

This was a very important post! It is so true that we tend to drift off with less important things which could easily wait for those 60 little minutes instead of just getting around to our daily exercise. It was one of my pitfalls back when I still exercised regularly and it will be a tough foe to come over now that I'm trying to get back on the track. So, thank you for this reminder!
Now where are those shoes of mine - it's a beautiful day outside!
