  • Salt Substitutes

I am wondering if anyone can recommend a tried and true salt substitute that actually tastes like salt. I am a salt addict and have been my whole life. I love the taste and have never had problems with high blood pressure or anything like that. Now that I am 40, I notice that I am retaining water like crazy with the salt I eat and I would like to find something comparable that isn't just full of horrible cancer causing chemicals. Any suggestions? Something you have tried that you did or did not like? Thanks!

It is nice seeing a picture where I actually have a neck!

I see this was posted a while back ago, but in case you are still looking- a lot my family uses sea salt. Its not too bad, but nothing is as good as real salt.

I haven't tried it but I know there's something called "Half Salt", from Morton I think - half salt, half potassium. Since potassium is sometimes helpful when you're eating this way, that might be a good one.

        I'd second the sea salt.
