  • Hello Everyone!

    Hey everyone,
I was just browsing through and ran across this area of the ATKINS Bulletin Board and PCOS is also a part of my life. I use to say that I'm a victim of PCOS but I don't let it get me down, it doesn't make me who I am, it's just a small part of me.

I've never officially been diagnosed with PCOS, but I have been suffering from it since 15 years old....I'll be 21 in April.

It has to be one of the cruelest syndromes I have ever heard of. I get so sick and tired of having to constantly wax my face and shave my legs. I hate having PCOS!

I have all of the symptoms from the hairiness all the way to the horrible/irregular periods.

I've been taking Yasmin Birth Control Pills since May 2004 and they help tremendously but it's not a cure. They help make the hair more managable, my periods are finally regular and the cramps are not as bad.

I was on the Atkins diet in 2002 and lost 70 pounds...unfortunately I went off the diet and gained it all back.

I'm ready for a fresh new start and I look forward to reading other's success stories as well

Blueeyes, glad you found this forum. I don't suffer from PCOS but I really feel for those of you who do.

Did you notice weight loss once you started taking Yasmin since it was straightening out your hormones?
