Well, I don't know which ad you saw, but generally, that particular chemical component usually refer to conjugated linoleic acid (also known as CLA), which is good for you.

When you look at fat and fatty acids in a chemical sense, it is a long chain of carbon molecules with hydrogen atoms attached to it in some form. Basically, cis refers to two hydrogen molecules on the same side of a double bonded carbon molecules while with trans, they are opposite. Maybe that's more info than you wanted????

Let me know if you need more info.

Thank you for the quick reply! What I wanted to hear is if we can use it when in induction! The said ad, is above your answer .
Thank you again. You reminded me, my organic chemistry !

        Re: cis-9,trans-11

You can use CLA anytime during this WOE. As a paying member, I don't see all the ads that non-members see, so that's why I couldn't say anything about that ad.

I think cis and trans were one of the few easy parts of organic chemistry. Please don't ask me any synthesis or mechanism questions! LOL

I thought that something was different since my last log in ! Anyway. Thank you again. Now why would I ask you about chiral pool synthesis?
I am interesting only in Atkins induction not he asymmetric

LOL Well, in case you wanted to talk about fat/protein/carb metabolism....we could get *really* detailed, but why waste a good afternoon?

Best of luck to you during induction!

I have ordered and this morning received, the previous mentioned capsules. I will keep you posted with the results, as I see them on me .
That is, if anyone is interesting. Of course

Good luck! I'm interested in your results and how your body responds to this supplement....that is...if you care to share them

How many mg or grams are you taking per pill and how many pills per day? I can't remember what Dr. Atkins recommends off the top of my head. I've loaned my book to a friend, so I don't have it available to find the answer.

                    Thanks for keeping us informed!

I do not think Dr. Atkins ever mentioned the recommended daily dosage for these supplements. I take 2 capsules in the morning and 2 in the afternoon, as the supplier suggests. Each capsule is 1000 mg.

I'm pretty sure he mentions the dosage in his VitaNutrient book...I don't know about DANDR. I'll let you know when I get my book back.

Sorry to hear that it didn't work for you. Are you pretty certain that it was the supplements that were the cause as opposed to something else?

Good luck with your continued weight loss!
