  • At what age did you lose control of your weight?

Thought this might be interesting, but please do not vote if you are under 45 - you will render the statistics meaningless.

Re: At what age did you lose control of your weight?

Lets run this poll here, then run two pols in a general forum. One for under 35s and another for those over. Could be interesting. Is it possible to generate a double poll in a single thread?

We could also run the poll in Teenage asking

            0-5
            6-9
            10-13
            14 - 17
            18 plus

But I don't think I have ever opened the Teenage forum, so I don't know what goes on there.

Re: At what age did you lose control of your weight?

I had never had any kind of weight problem growing up -- if anything, just the opposite, I was way too small. When I gradutated from high school I was at my top weight of 118. Then, for some reason that I'll never understand, by the middle of my sophomore year in college I was over 150. I've yo-yoed between 110 and 213 ever since.

Re: At what age did you lose control of your weight?

I was a very skinny kid. That's when I learned I could eat junk and get away with it.

Old habits die hard, so when I hit my 30s and especially the big 40 payback came and I found myself 40 pounds overweight for the first time in my life. Metabolism slowed ... I spent way too much time on my BUTT in front of the TV or computer ... well, the rest is history.

Then entered Dr. Atkins............ and my life radically changed forever! No more junk food, no more couch potato and no more 40 pounds overweight!

Its hard to say, never a think person, and my first marriage, my ex always said I was to heavy for him, and when I would diet and lose he would bring home junk food to ruin it for me. But My weight really got bad after my 2nd husband died. I am a emotional eater and well you know the rest of the story

But, I.... Umm Damn! I'm old but not old enough!

Through an emmense amount of prednisone steroids when I was 6 years old I became out of control at age seven.

But really wasn't I just a bad child because I was gluttonous and lazy (riding my bike to school every day) ?
