    Carbs are evil!

Having the gallbladder problems and then the surgery I had been eating very badly. After the surgery the body needs time to adjust to the missing gallbladder and causes instantaineous diarreah. :bang

After being back on track for a few days with no problems I had a little crisis at work. It is resolved now, but I came home Friday in tears. One of those where until you can have a good cry and get it out you just keep weeping. :anger

Well DH went out to get some bait for a fishing trip he was planning early in the morning and came back with a Strawberry milk shake to make me feel better. That lead to a weekend of eating carbs. Not that bad, (after the milkshake) but not on plan. Sunday morning I woke up with horrible gas pains and my old nemisis was back. :yikes

Lesson learned, my digestive sytem does not like carbs! This should help keep me on track.

I like your analysis. I find that if I can match adverse physical reactions directly to poor food choices it helps me to say no the next time. You start to equate BagO'Cookies + Gallon of Milk = Cramps, Diarhea, and Pain for 4 hours. Makes it a lot easier to just say no!.

I just equate them to feeling like crap --not for the physical symptoms, but the mental. Sometimes that logic works, other times, not.

Same here....even more so since after restarting this WOE, I get awful carb cravings the first day, and horrible leg cramps the second, no matter how much water I drink. You'ld think it would keep me true, but I've still had my bad weekends. Going strong now, though, and on day 4 of reinduction! :icondance Hope you're health returns. I know second hand how hard it is to readjust after GB surgery...two SIL's went through it, and I was support for them.
