      A question about pork rinds?

I do have a question about pork rinds. Tons of the induction recipes use them and I know they have no carbs, but seriously isn't there some point where you can overdo the whole pork rind thing?

There are plenty of challenges, life-issue posts that you'll relate to and great conversations with friendly inspiring people to keep you motivated here at the ADBB.

Best wishes and keep us posted on your success. You can do this, we are all here for support!!

        Re: Hello from a newbie...

My only concern is with the eggs on the diet. I am not a huge egg eater, but I will sure make myself eat more of them if it will help. I am so hungry most of the time.

              Good news!

I have good news. My husband went to the doctor two days ago and she laid into him for weighing 297. She has put him on blood pressure medicine and told him to lose weight so he has joined me in the low-carb world. He is doing more of a South Beach thing though, but since I am cooking his meals, he is eating Atkins induction and doesn't know it.

My name is Debbie and while I am not new to dieting, I am new to actually being successful in my efforts for more than a day. I have been on Atkins for just under a month and have gone from 286 to 260. I am very proud of myself because no one was supportive the first month. My husband said I could have his support after I lost 25 pounds because then he would think I was serious. Well, I showed him so now he has to be nice. My birthday was this weekend and I still didn't cheat. I need to lose 90 more pounds and could use all the support I can get and any induction legal recipes anyone wants to share.

South Beach induction and Atkins induction are nearly identical... he won't notice.

He is making a good start...a slow one, but still good.

                  Cleo,

I think he is overdoing the nuts, but the change from hohos and candy bars to peanuts is at least a start. He has gone from regular coke to caffeine free diet so he is trying. I am making all his meals so I know they are induction, but as I said he isn't doing a clean induction because he feels like it is too much to change all at once (he quit smoking the same day). He already says he feels less bloated so even if he isn't doing it perfectly, he is doing much better. I am a strick induction person though so I can watch him like a hawk.
