  • How did Everyone do Yesterday?

I would like to know how everyone did with thier WOE yesterday! Did we eat right? Did we drink all of our water? Are we independant of our food?

For me, I did good yesterday with the exception of a small helping of baked beans! We had a picnic with another couple, and it was very nice! Brats with no bun, deviled eggs, coleslaw homeade (low carb) and salad! Then a small helping as I said of baked beans!

Water... not hardly any! I will be drinking LOTS today! Did I say LOTS? LOL! I am bad at drinking water when I am home from work!

I dont think I am completely independant yet of my food! I mean, I am to a point! I dont crave carbage... yet I still cheat, so you do the math on that one!

Time to go to work! Here is to a great low carb day!!!!

I did okay. We had brisket and green beans. That part was easy, but I had way too much berries with cream. They are just too good.

I did great, but only because hubby and I spent a nice, boring evening at home. Good food, great water intake, lots of exercise and no cheats. I'm still very much dependant on my food. Not to the point that I cheat, but I concentrate on counting everything out so much that I'm thinking about it all the time!

I did great! I fell off the wagon in the middle of June and I'm back on now. My big meal for the day was hamburgers on the BBQ, cheese on top and a side of steamed green beans. Not very exciting but it tasted really good. The beans were very fresh.

              Marion,

it was my Bosses Birthday yesterday,

I had to explain to his wife why I wasn't going to partake of the 'healthy' carrot cake.

I said, it's not a matter of calories, it will through my bio-cemistry out for 48 hours!

I am surprised I did so well. There was a food spread you wouldn't believe and the only thing I allowed myself was hamburger and deviled eggs. I sooo wanted those brownies and a piece of cherry pie, but I didn't give in. I'm proud of myself.

I was in charge of the meat selection at my wife's coworker party, so I spent it cooking a turkey and a couple rack of spicy ribs. The rest of the meal wasn't exactly low carb, so I had probably way too much protein for the day, which of course converted itself into glucose. It could have been worse, but it could have been better too like remembering the veggies and the ranch to a make rounded meal.

See...I had it for you! So you could go home feeling proud of yourself, and I had to go home shaking my head....and licking my lips.

I would not describe the feeling as 'being proud of myself'.

I describe the feeling as 'being left out and depriced of the social situation'. Of course everyone gathers in teh kitchen and eats cake, and I am at my desk working.

I have had so many successes and failure at dieting over the last two decade (that's how you get to 473 pounds) that, I don't get an ego buzz out of sticking to the diet.

It's more out of desperation, that I try to cling to my diet, always knowing that I am one slice of cake away from going on a binge.

I may say things like "I'm never going back", but that is just war crys. Looking at the majority of people's experiences in the long-run, the chances are very high that I will go off my diet and gain the weight back. The vast majority of people do this, and I am no different or better than them.
