  • Double chin question . . .

    I saw a lady yesterday at the beauty shop who lost 35 pound and has incredibly saggy skin on her arms and chin (face).

    My double (ok, triple) chin has been a source of embarrassment to me for years. I hate it! :anger I know that exercises like the one I do (The Gazelle) will help my arms and legs to firm up, but how do you firm up your face. If that chin of mine becomes a "turkey wattle" I'm going to scream!

    Anybody out there have any good ideas. I think it's feeling loose already.

    PS - Surgery isn't in my budget.

    skin will be different for everybody and will depend oin your genetics and how long your body has been obese. There are products on the market that claim to firm up your skin and there are actual facial muscle exercise programs too.


    Did you know guys have less wrinkles and youngerlooking facial skin cause they basically give it a massage, an exercise workout and debring every day while shavig so their is hope for your skin too.

      I do facial exercises everyday..Beleive me, they work!

      Do this in the mirror.

      Tilt your head back just a bit..
      Open your mouth and say
      Aaaaaa, Eeeee, I (like eye), Ohhhhh, U (like you) Very dramatically. I do 10 repetitions of each.
      You could start out with 5 and build up. You will tone those muscles.
      The first time you do it will make your face and neck sore. But if you continue, it will go away like any exercise!

      Good luck to you. I can't afford surgery either.

        OK, I have to admit, I giggled to myself when I read this one, Tammy.

        BUT, you are right. I tried it and I can *feel* my face muscles.

        You have made a believer out of me and I will add this to my weekly routine

            I admit I also do face exercises everyday. I spend about 15 minutes every night tilting my neck front/backwards. Then, I tilt my chin up and hold it for several minutes (like Alfred Hitchcock). Then, I rub cream on my face and massaging the skin. I've noticed that my double chin has gone way down and my cheek muscles are firming up.
