  • Good Morning!

    J :wave

ust wanted to say hello and see how you are all doing today. Any goals set to help you get thru the day today?

I managed to get almost all my water in yesterday and can tell this morning that I stretched lots and lots of muscle yesterday by working in my garden. I will get in a walk today and hopefully begin cleaning out another neglected flower bed I began last year. I am at that lovely stage where I forget to eat. Have I said yet just how much I LOVE ketosis?! I am eating a good breakfast of usually eggs or some chicken and lunch doesnt happen until about 2 or 3 in the afternoon when I stop moving and realize how late it is. My energy has come back as well and I am loving that too! I end the day eating a little something around 7.

I work for a local school department and am happy to have this summer off and want to complete a few jobs around the house............ Like scraping a few ceilings and stripping some walls and painting them. Lots of jobs to keep myself busy and occupied and not eating! When working I am around food all day long as a kitchen manager and I need to have myself firmly entrenched in ketosis and my mind set to stay on plan when go back to work at the end of the summer.

Enough rambling. Have a successful low carb day everyone!!

    GOOOOD morning!

    I FINISHED WEEK ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YIPPEE!!!!!!

I had one little frustrated moment last night. Got out of the bathtub and caught sight of myself in the mirror. I see no change. I am a big blob of blubber. <shrug> <sigh> That LIttle Voice in my head said nasty things. After about 5 seconds, I IGNORED it. {if I could slap that Little Voice, I would, even though I am not a violent person. I guess I'll have to stick to Cyber Slapping)

So, today I have to go grocery shopping, as I am running out of acceptable foods. And I will work out this morning. I'm trying to think of a good commitment to make for Week Two. I'm already consistent in terms of water consumption, exercise, and carb/calories. I might incorporate yoga or stretching more. I think it would help me feel more slender......any ideas, folks?

    Have a good day!

My goal is to get through today (first re-start induction day). The first day is always so hard for me, I always get induction flu symptoms really bad and don't have time behind me to keep me motivated. But I keep telling myself...If I keep doing what I'm doing, I'll keep getting what I'm getting.

Shay - YOU CAN DO IT! Some tips:

        1. Every time you feel like crap, take a swig of water.

        2. Start your day with 800 mg of ibuprofin. Should cut some of the flu-ish feeling.

        3. Whenever you feel like you can't take anymore, come on this board and we'll talk you thru it - a lot of us are on and check in constantly!

        4. Remind yourself how great you are going to feel in 3 days!!!!!

        5. Do something really nice for yourself at the end of today!!!!

I'm with you in spirit, all day. Promise!

Shay, I double what Finelly had to say. Once that induction flu is over you are gonna feel great! I promise. The energy will just flow right thru you. (Thats how I got all that gardening done yesterday. A few weeks ago I didnt have the energy to care).

Be gentle to yourself and keep on chuggin along.

Good job Finelly on the first week! I have just completed mine as well. So glad I finally did it. I am not yet ready to look in that mirror so I hear you there. Did you start by taking measurements? I prefer them to the scale. They are much more helpful to me in seeing the progress I am making. Keep up the good work!

Now on to some grocery shopping. My cupboards are getting a little bare.

Thanks for all the support, so far so good. For some reason today has been really easy getting going. It is 1:30pm my time and I just finally ate lunch, and had to force it down at that. Nothing sounds good for some reason, hope I am not getting sick! I know this feeling comes later once your body is in ketosis but not yet, I guess I won't complain though.
