OB1 and Kathi - I am SOOO relieved to see that you guys made up and here I thought "not again, i'm part of a thread that's about to be locked" - but thank goodness it's not gonna happen!!! (yet anyway)

Ok hopefully determined2succeed has learnt something from this thread - I know what I've learnt
          - if we don't like the topic or start of a thread, don't read it (as psigna says)
          - we're all human and we do can get affected by others (OB1 & kathi22) but we know how to kiss and make up
          - there are those who've tried it with positive effects (magenta, LeahRachel, me) but it can get boring
          - for most Cabbage Soup diet isn't for them ie different strokes for different folks
          - regardless of whether it was posted in the wrong forum or not, hopefully all of us learnt something anything from it.

I think we should go back to talking about Starbucks. I liked that part! I know that this isn't exactly right and I am going to get yelled at, but after induction, the first thing I added back was a little milk! Yay for an iced grande latte!
It is what I missed the most and it hasn't thrown me out of ketosis. Whew. Those are my carbs for the day once or twice a week. It definitely satisfies that craving in me.

The mods can lock threads, which means you can no longer post to it. It usually happens when a thread is getting nasty or innappropriate.

                        Re: Cabbage Soup Diet?

Regarding the caramel vanilla flavoring for coffee, I have found DaVinci
syrups at T.J. Maxx, Ross Dress for Less, and Marshall's--a lot more than Wal-mart. Sometimes they have lots of flavors, other times not so many.
They're usually $5.99 for a big bottle. So if you have those stores in your town, good hunting.

Found the caramel and vanilla at Walmart. ALso, Coffeemate just came out wit a sugar free powdered version of the vanilla caramel. 2 carbs per tbs.

Crazy! I have to order my DaVinci online. Its $18 Canadian a bottle if I buy it in a coffee house here. Ordered online its $8 a bottle U.S. Even with shipping, its the better deal online. The german chocolate cake is my fave. I mix it with that awesome cheesecakey quiche type recipe for breakfast muffins. I forget who posted it but its amazing! The german choc cake tastes like pancake syrup to me, which makes the muffins taste like pancakes and bacon. Can you say Yumm Diddly Um?

If you think that eating cabbage for 2 weeks is healthy, you need to do a lot of research on what defines true health. I am sorry, but how dare you come in here and rant about Atkins when we all need support. You are 170 pounds, obviously eating what you want got you fat to begin with, and now you want a quick fix? I say give up the pasta for a healthier slimmer you - and if you HAVE to have it, then eat it. I doubt eating pasta will make you gain inches overnight. Your argument is based on numbers on a scale, ridiculous.

My mother is a diabetic and eats just like an Atkineer would. probelm is, we still have the choice to eat that piece of cake - work it off later. She doesn't. That piece of cake or bowl of pasta could kill her.

Quit your ranting about Atkins, unsubscribe from here, and go eat your cabbage....leave us alone and let us pride ourseleves on our good decision to eat low carb and feel great.

Kathi22 - i'm shocked and way put off by yur post. I NEVER PUT DOWN ATKINS or RANTED ABOUT IT. you need to do back and read the original freakin message before you spout off a bunch of CRAP. And for your info, I'm 5'8 and 170 and that's actually NOT FAT. You are the rudest person I have ever seen on this entire forum.
