Hey all... my mom's birthday is today and I've made a spread!!! Deviled eggs, cheeseball (bleu cheese, cream cheese, walnuts..I don't eat the walnuts tho) veggie platter, shrimp cocktail... all foods she likes and all foods I can have..woohoo.... except, there's one I'm confused about. I love(d) Wal-Marts hot wings. I bought a pound and asked the counter lady what was in the coating sauce. She got the label and everything was fine spice-wise, but one thing in the ingredients worried me. It was called corn syrup solids. Does anyone know what exactly that means? I know that corn syrup solids are used in ice cream, but what is the nutritional impact of them? Been searching online to find the answer and haven't found it yet. I would really love to be able to have a few wings, but I'm not willing to sacrifice my clean induction for them. If anyone knows the answer, please let me know.
Thanks, ssgswife
