I lost 4 pounds on induction, but was determined to move right into OWL because, as some of you know, the last time I was on Atkins, I stayed on Extended Induction for 8 months, lost 56 pounds, but finally got so bored, ate everything in sight and went off the diet for 3 months, so this time, I am doing it by the book. So I was kinda disapointed that I only lost 4 pounds on induction, but I had told myself that I was going to do it right this time, so I moved to OWL and added a vegetable. I LOST 4 POUNDS!!! I can't believe it! I don't think I have ever lost 4 pounds in one week, not even on extended induction! I'm so happy! I'm going to go look and see what I get to eat next!

good for you. you might want to go slowly up each rung so you can test all the foods on it before you move on.by the book atkinseer

2Big, how slowly? I have heard that some people stay on each rung for about 3 weeks? So this past week, I added an extra veggie 3 times, not going over 5 carbs and lost 4 pounds, so do I continue to do that, or should I be bold and try a veggie maybe 5 times this week and see what happens? Or move up to the next rung? I will take suggestions for everyone and thanks for your help!Chriss Female 246/236/160 5'3"

first in OWL you have the new carbs every day from some food in the rung. you just if the food is a new one to you and all of them after rung one will be you add each new food only 3 times the first week. yeop typo in DANDR where it says new food group 3 timnes it should be new food 3 times. if you were very restrictive on your induction with the pounds you have left to lose you can experiment with many more veggies before you move if you like or you can go right to the fresh dairy rung. it is up to you. I love veggies so i stayed a long tinme and actually added two rung ones to my OWL per Dr Atkins staff back in 2003.by the book atkinseer
