    Hey Liz,

    I know how you feel but if you have been exercising alot and building muscle it may be due to that and TOM of course. As you probably already know muscle weighs more than fat. Sometimes you just gotta go by how your clothes are fitting on you and not the number on the scale. This has happened to me before. The number on the scale goes up but the clothes are getting a little loose in places. Hang in there!

      Liz, I agree with Deb, it's probably muscle. If it makes you feel better, I've been up about 4-5 pounds this weekend, simply from exercise. I know it will go away, I need to drink more water. I KNOW it's not fat because 1) my shorts are LOOSER, and 2) I did not eat an EXTRA 15000 calories to pack on weight.

      Patience my dear. Anyway, those inches are better than pounds ANY DAY!!! Nobody knows how much you weigh unless you tell them, but they can see how much fat you are losing by looking at you. So yes, I'll take inches please!!

        Joy, this happened to me too. I really think I lose only one time per month...a few lbs and then nothing for another month. It is very frustrating but I am learning patience with all this. I know that if I stick to plan in one month I will be down another 2-3 pounds and those months/pounds add up. At that rate by Christmas I will be down by at least another 10 lbs. and that is alot. (another dress size usually)

        Hang in there with us and we can all share in our successes.

          Goooooooooooooood Afternoon STACr's.

          I'm late as usual. Man. What a weekend. Travel travel, sing, sing, party, party, eat, eat, and don't forget the bling, bling, with snapped up love song about the ballad of the lover don't get caught down in the middle of the violence.

          Whew. Is it Friday yet? 2 Hours driving Saturday, 4 hours playing music, came home stayed up till three watchin' old movies, crashed got up 6 hours later drove another 2 hours, played another 4 hours.

          Life is good.

          sorry can't stay, my boss is lurking around the corner hoping to catch me posting.....haha!!!

            Hi everyone. It sounds like some of you had very tiring weekends!

            I'm feeling slightly frustrated today. I began Induction last Wed. at 206. I weighed 201 yesterday. Today I weigh 203! I'm so angry with myself! I haven't cheated, I walked yesterday and drank my water (about 62oz.). The only thing I did "wrong" was eat a few sugar-free candies. Could that really cause my weight to go up though?

              hey all, good afternoon. hope all had a good weekend. today was weigh in day for hubby and i. since the 5th of july i've lost 8 lbs, hubby has lost 7 lbs, his start day was july 9th. it's really exciting to see the weight coming off. i've been so good on doing my ab crunches for the july challange, yesterday i even added about 30 mins of walking into my exercise routine. i really want to keep that up, but not sure if i will have time to do this everyday or not. i will be happy if i can do it atleast 3 or 4 times a week. i know that in time i want to add some other exercises into my routine, but for now i'm gonna be happy with the walks and the crunches. atleast i'm doing something other than sitting in front of the tv or computer.

              well gotta go update my fitday for today and get started on my crunches. take care and stay true to yourselves and this WOL.

                  My advice..throw the sugar free candies away.. Everyone made me throw my jelly beans away....lol But it could be anything that made you go up 2lbs.. Try not to let the daily amounts affect you...It will be right back off probably with 2 more lbs...

                    I looked back at my weight loss today, and i noticed that it takes me about 14-16 days to drop one pound. It is so frustrating sometimes. Everyday I get on the scale and I just know it will be the morning I drop, but lo and behold I find that I still weigh the same. Just last week I finally dropped a pound and then about 4 days later dropped another pound. I was so excited to finally get over that stall. During this time I also took "wiser" atkiners advise to start OWL and do 25 carbs. That was when I saw the additional pound drop. I was told that OWL will actually sometimes speed the weight loss up. So maybe instead of fasting, you could try that....if you are not already doing that....and maybe you just have so much muscle, (from all those pushups) that's it equalling out your fat loss. Have you lost any inches in a month? during my stall's, i was losing inches. And also I read here somewhere about water intake. It said that if you drink a lot of water it will fill up the fatcells that were emptied out and after sometime it will release all the water at the same time, that is when the "whooshie fairy" comes and you will drop several pounds at a time. That may not be exactly accurate, i'll have to find the article and send it to you...hang in there....hugs, Michelle.

                      Wow - am I ever late checking in! I've been very busy with family, school, class, my new business, blah, blah, blah...

                      I think I'm stalled, too. Well, not an official stall since I did lose a few inches in the last month, but keep bouncing within 6 pounds or so. I'm going to have to really look at what I'm doing to find out what is wrong. But, still exercising and still plugging away!

                        good evening...i had an interesting day...it was a bit stressful...and i didn't even think of handling my stress with food today...wow, i just realized that! i had plenty of opportunity to eat over my day, but did not...yay!! i love these small but oh-so-significant victories...or miracles, as the case may be!!

                          like some of you, i am losing VERY SLOWLY at this point. When I weighed more like 220, the weight literally just FELL off, but now it is like a pound or two a month. The good news is, I feel FANTASTIC. That and the 'atkins no bloat stomach' keeps me going.

                            Thank you so much for all your encouraging words Deb, Julie, Candy, Sandy, Michelle, and Partytrouble... I waited all day to check back in til after I had done my exersize... I just keep wanting to plan my weight loss and know where I'll be in a month, or 2 or Christmas... next year... I won't be able to stand losing only 2 lbs a month!!!!!!!!!!!
                            I think the next few days will show some losses.... I keep telling myself that! But definately hanging in there!
