    You guys, I'm so jealous of the warm weather. At 8:00 this morning when I walked it was 32 degrees. So I just bundles up and got out there. I do have a treadmill but I much prefer to walk outside unless it's snowing (won't be long now) or raining. That's what my treadmill is for.

      TulsaNurse I can't walk when you do but I'll be thinking of you & your daughter when I do my walk. Isn't it wonderful to have such a fantastic group to offer encouragement & support!! Big kudos to your daughter for wanting to make a chart to journal your progress!!

        We are having a challenge within our house (myself, and two daughters, 14 and 20). Each 1.3 walk ends up with a star. The one with the most stars in exactly 2 weeks gets the prize. I chose a pedicure. Hope I win.

            You have a wonderful attitude adn way to go bringing the family in on the challege how much more fun it is when you have people behind you all the way!!!!! I walk every morning as well about 8 ish ..........I'm in Vermont so I'm not sure where that catches you time wise but I'm with ya!

              I just walked for 30 minutes on my treadmill does that count? I love to walk outside so I can listen to the birds sing but between the 90 Plus degree heat and out neighbors who just love to let thier dogs run lose the treadmill is a safer option. I think it's great your getting your kids involved. You know all of you could join the presidential fitness challange through this board then just log your walking time each day and your children could earn awards that way also.

                Wow, we just signed up for the Presidential Fitness Club. So cool. Thanks. The only thing on my list of activities right now is walking but Im trying to find something else I might like to do that doesnt involve joining a gym.
