  • Roll Call, TGIF 09/25/09

    Good morning to all,

    I am here and still in ketosis, yeah. Planning on working out tonight and then again in the morning. I actually convinced a co-worker to come over and try crossfit with. It should be fun and interesting.

    I have decided that I am only going to way myself once a week. Let me tell you those first couple of days were hard in the morning not jumping on that scale. But I have this sense of relief almost because I am not living or dying by what that scale says. I know that I am eating right, exercised, and am in ketosis, so I have to be losing weight. It will be awesome when I step on that scale next week (hopefully with a big weight lose).

    So if I were to give a piece of advice that I have learned in my journey so far is step away from the scale. Dont be so OCD and just let the weightloss happen. We all didn't get fat over night, so it isn't going to come off over night either.

    Way to go!! Should I be concerned about me being in ketosis? Do you recommend buying those sticks? .. Would that help me lose the wt? I have lost 13 pounds on about 6 weeks - and 12 was the first two weeks.

        dewolfe- The sticks are not necessary. They are just another tool. You are losing weight with out them.

        Hi everybody,

        I'm doing well. I'm going to get a size 14 pants at Walmart today to see how well they fit and then use them for motivation until I can fit into them comfortably .

          TGIF...have to admitt it is my favorite date of the week.

          All is well.. sticking to the plan. Still avoiding exercise, but need to get moving if I want this to work. It is a whole lot easier "said" then done. Maybe get some moves in this weekend.

                  I'm here, Day 25 and all. Still hanging at the same weight, but I'm 12 pounds down so I have nothing to complain about.

                  Still in ketosis...no the sticks aren't necessary but I choose to use one a day just so I can track whether I'm still in ketosis or not and if I'm dehydrated.

                  Going to start working out again this weekend as my back owies are almost gone. Also going to start meditating again, I was always so grounded and calm...I need some of that back.

                  Ok...I ordered Lebanese food for everyone as a going away lunch and I had some m'saka and baba ganouche with my carb-friendly leftovers (just cause I hadn't had it in SOOOO long). The m'saka had a couple chick peas in it and I ate them. Is that considered a cheat? The rest was just eggplant, tomato, and onion and I only had a spoonful of each for the flavor. Did I cheat? Did I ruin my 25 day cheat-free streak??? May I also add that I did NOT have any of the unbelievable-smelling donuts that someone brought in for this morning???

                    Bella...I would call it a slip rather than a cheat...cause I don't like that word. Although I do believe that it does end your streak. Maybe for motivation this time you can push yourself to a new slip-free record.

                    Great job on the donuts. I haven't had any...but have wanted them so much more than anything else non-legal these last couple weeks (Krispy Kreme). I have resigned myself to no more Krispy Kreme...which I can live with more than I can live with being overweight.

                    When is your wedding? That would be an ultimate motivator for me. I have been married for 13 years on October 12, and barely remember the euphoria of planning my wedding.
