    good morning - TGIF!

    Here and at 231 again [of course] - but feel that's good way to start the weekend. Last friday I was at 233, gotta look at the positive.

    Busy day at work, but love fridays at work - very quiet. No plans for tonight and not much planned for the weekend.

    Congrats Barrnone on starting your weekend two pounds down from last week, its much better than the alternative.


    I officially hit 20 pounds lost today *YAY* I'm keeping on plan and now starting to have second thoughts about allowing the tiny cheat I was planning for Thanksgiving. Since I've finally gotten things moving again, I'm not sure any more that I want to take the chance on even one spoonful of mashed potatoes and gravy and stuffing. I'm going to be weighing it very heavy over the next week and keep telling myself it won't taste as good as this feels and is liable to knock me out of ketosis for at least a couple of days.

    1st Goal ~ 199 Onderland -Met 3/29/10
    2nd Goal ~ 174 No longer obese
    3rd Goal ~ 150 In the home stretch
    Final Goal ~ 145 or below (I'll know when I get there) No longer overweight

      Absolutely look at your week as a 2 pound loss Barrnone. And why wouldn't you? That's wonderful progress.


      And you too Barb, congratulations on 20 pounds gone

      I don't know about you, but for me, falling off the wagon 2 years ago all started with a couple of spoons or bites of this or that. Then a few days later it was a serving, and then I was 260 pounds. I think maybe it's time to plan a couple of legal foods Loaded cauliflower, broccoli salad, Yummmmm.

        I agree, I've been playing out worse case scenario in my head and this is how it goes........ It starts out with just a spoonful of mashed potatoes and gravy and stuffing at dinner, and then later that night everybody wants turkey sandwiches so I say to myself "a turkey sandwich sure sounds good, what will it hurt I already had the potatoes and stuffing, but I'll just have one and I do. Next day there are left overs and the family starts getting things out and heating them up for lunch and I say "Oh what will one more turkey sandwich hurt, I'll get back on plan tomorrow and while I'm at it might as well enjoy a few more mashed potatoes with gravy and stuffing" (but I'm going to have more this time because I know I won't have them again for a long time so I want to really enjoy them). By that evening I'm on carb overload and too tired to make myself a decent dinner, so I send hubby out for pizza so I don't have to cook again. At this point I think to myself "since I've already blown today and I'm starting clean tomorrow, might as well enjoy the pizza with the crust instead of just the toppings with a salad"............................................ ..And tomorrow (the day I will get back on plan) never comes or only after a few years and back at or over where I started the last time.

        Its like I always tell my kids, you can't do things the same way and expect to get different results. So I think I've decided to take my own advice and stay perfectly clean through Thanksgiving.

          Lacypie is in .. been a tough week. went on a girl get away, and ate sooo bad for two days.. but came home got right back to it. Been hiking like a dog, and am still up 5 lbs from last weeks weigh in. What a way to confirm that i really need to stick the the LC WOL. I will be sooo glad when the holidays are past us. I expect it will be kinda tough to resist the holiday goodies, I know i will be much more disaplined , but still i expect some temptations to resist. But I must, I will and I have to for me, for my life.

            Lacypie, Good for you for recognizing why we must stay with this, and jumping back on track.
