#1 -Where can I buy Ketosis strips?
#2- I'm having a huge problem staying under my cheese limit. I just love it and it's quick. This is going to slow my weight loss isnt it? So, what should I do to keep myself away from too much cheese?

i struggle with cheese also...if you like to eat it as a snack, like cheesesticks or cheesecubes, then try to keep it out of your meals. I did the opposite, I use it in casseroles and sauces instead of snacking on it all the time and it helps me keep it controlled. Or days when I am not having it with a meal I will have 1 or 2 cheese sticks during the day.

I can tell you this based on my experience last year on Atkins: those of us who are vegetarian or semi-vegetarian eat more cheese and dairy products than others.

It did not slow my weight loss (or if it did, then I was losing too fast anyway!) and did not cause me to plateau or stall.

I think you can buy the ketosicks at pharmacies. When you're hungry, reach for something other than cheese if you've already had the limit. Take a look at the acceptable food list and have those items that you like available.

If you are conserned about cheese, limit them to just snacks.

A little snack I eat is a few cheese slices, a small piece of meat and a tlbs of mayo.
There ya go a Fat/protien snack to keep your appetite down and your cravings away!

I overate cheese during my induction too. I think the reason for this was because it was so easy to just grab. No preparation required! Now I make a point to have ready-to-eat things in the fridge. I like to keep a big batch of homemade coleslaw and another one of cucumber salad. That helped me get my veggies in too.

I also agree with BreakfastSurreal -- I would stay away from cheese as a snack and use it in my cooking instead. I LOVE eggs with a little shredded cheddar, so if it's a choice between that or plain eggs for breakfast and cheese later on, I'd definitely have it with my eggs. I also found that bacon was a good substitute for cheese if I was craving a salty fatty snack.
