Hi cmpotts! It's hard to break habits and going out to eat is a new challenge. But, it can be done.

I totally agree with all of the posts...prepare in advance...call your hostess and let her know you'd like to bring a couple of dishes...explain your eating plan if you feel the need. And even if you don't take anything with you, don't ever feel obligated to put anything in your mouth you really don't want...ever...that's such a bad habit.

Oh, and don't feel like anyone is judging you, we've all had the same challenges...these are just suggestions for the future!

      Take care!

I have learned and I am started anew today. I felt really bad after I did it. I have been beating myself up over it. So I know it wont happen again.

I say Do beat yourself up. The only the way you are going to learn how to overcome the hard parts of this way of life is learning how serious things are in the grand scheme of things. If you are only in it half hearted with an idea of only just losing a few pounds, then thats what will happen.

Trust in yourself, do it to the fullest...and you will achieve your goals.
