  • Staying On Track During Induction

Hello, I am new to this and not sure if I am doing my post right! I posted a thread in the "Introduce Myself" Forum. And, now I am posting in the "14 Day Induction" Forum. Do I just check in each day and edit the two different threads or do I need to post new ones each time I want to update.

Okay... Back to Induction Phaze. I am on my 3rd day and I am feeling really good and on track. I am looking for an online journal so that I can keep track of my food and water intake. Oh yeah and my exercise program. Any ideas and suggestions. Also, I keep trying to get my picture in here by my name but it says it is too big. Not sure how to do this, but I will figure it out.

    Determined to stay on track.

    Hello Kelly, welcome aboard!!!
You should be able to post new threads if you have any problems or questions. Otherwise you could start an online journal to keep trackof your daily thoughts.

Look at www.fitday.com this is a great resource!

This is my 16th day of Atkins, I am on extended induction and lost 11lbs the first 14 days.
Just keep your chin up and know that the first few days of cravings and wants, will pass.
It gets easier everyday. You are on the road that leads to your goal.
You can do it, you are worth it!!!
Another day, in a new weigh!!!

Re: Staying On Track During Induction

Hi all...I'm also new to ADDB and can't quite seem to figure out how to post a new thread, so somehow I ended up here. How do I read responses to my posts? Also, I have 2 questions for you experienced folks out there.

      1. Does anyone know about Kraft Carb Well salad dressings? I bought one bottle just to try it and LOVED it. Now I can't find it anywhere. Kraft Foods makes it and says they sell it nationally in club stores. Does anyone use it and have it in their area? Looked on line, but no luck. I would love to order a case from somewhere, anywhere!

      2. Am doing long-term induction- have lost 13 lbs. in 3 months and feel fantastic. Exercising 6 days a week. I have never registered a positive ketosis reading with the ketostix. I have read here that some people just don't ever show purple, but is that really true? i do worry about that. What could that mean? I feel like I'm getting smaller...clothes are definitely bigger and the scale IS moving, though slowly. What do you think?

      Thanks,
      Dee

To start a new thread in this forum you need to be on the forum's index page where all the threads are listed http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...splay.php?f=73
then click on the button at the top lefthand side called 'New Thread' and a posting box will open for you to write in.
The same goes for posting in any other forums, just make sure you are in the correct forum for your question.

        You are in ketosis, Dee
I have never seen a dark reading on the ketosis sticks either and I have lost half my original body weight!!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

          Hi Kelley
you can start a journal here on ADBB.
There are two types of journal:
          Journal Chats
          http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...sprune=-1&f=31
Where others can visit you and post comments and encouragement. Read some of the existing journals there to see if you want to start one there.

          Journal Stats
          http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...sprune=-1&f=94 .
Where you can keep records of your stats, measurements, exercise etc and although others can read what you write only the moderator, forum hostesses and you can write in it.
Here is a quote from the information sticky there
Welcome to the Journal Stats Forum of the ADBB!
Do you want to keep a journal or diary of your weight loss and challenges that you have experienced on your Atkins journey? Have you had a hard time keeping track of just where you put those numbers?
This is the place for safe keeping your stats and making updates, daily or weekly. You will always know where to find all your information.
to start your journal in either forum just click on the 'New Thread' button at the top of that forums first page (where all the threads are listed)

          Hope this helps

Today's my 4th day and I'm still doing good. I woke up with a headache, though! I think I am getting the hang of how these forums work. I hope to make some friend here as well. Thanks for the support!

Re: Staying On Track During Induction

Today is day 8 for me. I am doing good with my staying on track even with all the turmoil I am in. I am actually quite proud of myself. I do have a huge urge to eat ALL the cookies in the house, but I realize this will serve no purpose in my reaching my goal. I decided not to weigh myself until the full 14 days have been completed.

I also commend you for staying away from the scale until the 14 days are up.....

Kelly, get the cookies out of your house. Carbage isn't good for anyone, let alone Atkineers. NO nutritional value!!!!
