    I have lost 25 pounds in 4 wks!!! I am happy with this but i do have a question for the women. Last week i lost and gained nothing and i have been losing at least 6 pounds at a time. I had my period. Will or has it affected anyone else. This was the worst period i've had ever.I'm just curious if i wont lose when i'm on my period, so any coments would be great and before you ask NO i didn't cheat!! Thanks.

    Yes as I understand it losing weight at a quick pace changes our hormone levels and throws as off kilter a little bit. I myself went through it recently with breakthrough bleeding even though I am on the pill. It generally straightens itself out in a couple of cycles. I am sure you will be getting lots of responses on this cause I know it happens alot. Hope this helps. As far as losing, I think most is water weight hanging on and once your period is gone you will drop. 25 pounds in 4 weeks though is great. You probably will see a slow down from this point on.

      Weight loss does slow down. Its normal. Just keep going.

          Thanks for asking the question I had the same problem - feeling puffy and achey - from the sound of it its just water retention.

            You are not alone... Stay away from the scales & the salt when TOM gets close, and until gone and it won't be as bad; the flip side is a whooshie fairy will come afterwards.

                  fat stores estrogen so as you are lossing weight you might find that your TOM is different. You will also retain water, maybe even gaining a few pounds. A coffee up for warm-hot lemon water can help take care of that. try that every day of your period in the morning or even at night.

                    is great that I read this.. I am on my period now.. mostly spotting here and there.. since I had the IUD I barely have periods but I do find it a bit more this time.. and I did not loose as of this morning form yesterday now I know why!
