  • Food and Exercise

Just wondering about food and exercise.

I read that doing exercise before you eat in the morning makes the exercise more effective, however, i was thinking that if i have just eaten my breakfast say an hour before exercising, the food will not have had time to be digested and absorbed by my small intestine yet and so probably would not harm the effectiveness of my exercise, is this true or am i worng in my thinking.

    guy.

    Re: Food and Exercise

We've had discussions on the board about this before. I think it's more preference than anything else. Some people eat before exercising, some people eat after.

I eat after because if I exercise with anything in my stomach, I get queasy and need to relieve myself of whatever's in my stomach (not a pretty thing!) Also, I find that the folks who eat before exercise, end up having a post exercise snack, which I don't need because I'm eating my meal after I exercise.
