  • No Caffeine

Okay, I have cut the caffeine out for the past two days, and I am hoping that the scale is going to reflect more loss next Sunday. I want to lose 50 pounds by April. If I stick with Atkins (and I am exercising 45 minutes, 5 days a week) do you think I can make it? I have been on this for two weeks, and I have only lost between 6 and 7 pounds. I had expected to lose more during the first two weeks, but I guess that my caffeine was hindering my progress. I plan to stay on induction until Thanksgiving at least. If I see good results, I will stay on it another month or so.

Different people will lose weight at different speeds. You could hit target by April and you may not. But either way you will be on the right track.

    I hope that helps?

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

It is possible that something else is contributing to your stall. Maybe you could post a menu for us to critique in accordance with Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution? In the meantime, it might help to peruse this finite list of allowable foods for Induction to see whether this could be the case. http://www.atkins.com/articles/atkin...ceptable-foods

            Re: No Caffeine

frist of all you are not stalled check your inches lost so you can see the inches of fat being burned from your body as you morph your body working your Atkins.

you've lost 12% of the weight you need to lose and are doing great.
with your menu you need to spread the veggies out to all 3 meals so you have some carbs some protein and some fats at every meal.

Is the exercise new to you? that too can effect scale weight loss as your body will store extra supplies like fluids in the muscles to help rescue you from whatever forced yu to exert that new load on it. once the body learns those loads will be the normal load it will drop the fluids and scale weight drops overnight a few pounds.
