Its by the specialty milks, whipped cream in a can or coffee creamers. It's also called shipping cream, or heavy whpping cream. Make sure you are not getting "light" or half-n-half.
What is it, a RACE? It's coming off, right????

Try to get pure cream as whipping cream often contains stablizers.

yeah it can have a ton of crap in it and taste like glue.... I was stunned by this...Albertsons has heavy cream that is pure cream so does Trader Joes ...and health food stores but they are pretty $$ ....again check the label I was stunned at the sugar in half and half!

Try also to obtain pasteurized cream rather than the ultra pasteurized stuff. The ultra pasteurized stuff has been cooked longer and doesn't taste as good/whip up as well.

Butter? Hmm, never tried that--I bet it is decadent!

                Re: heavy cream

Was just wondering if anyone uses whipping cream instead of coffee cream as coffee cream has 1 carb per tbl spoon and whipping cream has 0 carbs or atleast around here in Canada .Farmers is the brand name.

The ingredients in the 35% whipping cream are.... cream, dextrose, carragheenan.

                The ingredients in the 18 % coffee cream are ....cream,milk,sodium citrate,sodium phosphate,carrageen,locust bean gum,detrose.

Hmmm almost seems that the whipping cream is the better deal ?

Or should I be useing 100 % cream or is there such a thing ?

I bolded dextrose because that is another name for sugar, which we are to avoid.

Cream is a combo of fat and the milk. The highest cream percentages you'll find are the European triple cream or the English Clotted or Double Cream. Heavy cream is fine for your decaf coffee.

Be aware, though, that cream DOES contain carbs. Depending on the carb counter you use, it has between 0.4 to 0.8 net carbs per tablespoon.

I'm also moving this thread to the 14 Day Induction forum, because I'm sure there are others with the same question who will benefit from this thread.
