  • hey all

    I'm just breezing in wanting to check things out...i hope that is okay...i'm a bit confused....south beach vs atkins.... okay okay i will admit it i'm a south beacher.... i get fat burns fat....but really how much of it is healthy? i'm not being a smart'***' or anything....i really dont know perhaps i could answer my own questions if i got the book huh?? but its nicer to hear folks with experince tell it....

    Hey frenchfri, link below has a good comparison of both diets. I think most people here don't have a problem with SB but prefer the way Atkins eases you into the wider range of foods rather then jumping you right in after inductions.

          I think I like the scientific nature of Atkins. Foods are added back into the diet gradually and methodically, and evaluated for their effects on the body. There are plenty of normal healthy foods that are triggers for some people to begin craving more food...anything from grapes to watermelon to grains. So it makes sense to find out what these foods are for you so that you know how to handle them, for example only eat grapes after a meal, not in between as a snack.
