  • Ratio of fats to carbs.....

It says in the Atkins book that the ease of getting into deep lipolysis is based on the ratio of fat to carbohydrate and to strive for an adequate amount of fat during the induction phase.

What would be considered an "adequate amount" of fat per day?
    What type of fat?
What happens when you have too much fat?

Use www.fitday.com to input the food you eat each day.

the rations you are looking for on there are 65% fat, 5% carbs and 30% Protein.

Its a great tool for making sure your eating enough.

I found when i ate too much fat i lost more, but i'm not sure that would be the same for everyone.
