  • Starting the Journey

    Aloha! Yesterday I started my Atkins journey. About three years ago I followed Atkins religiously and lost 25 pounds. I have since maintained, yet fell off of eating properly. Thank goodness for working out otherwise I'm sure I would have blown up. Anyhow, I'm starting again in hopes to lose more and get down to a healthier weight. My initial goal is 20 pounds. While I know I need to lose more I need to make small attainable goals to start. Came here looking for support. I will need it to stay on track and will give it in return.

    Welcome jengie. I used to live in Oahu for 3 years when my husband was military - one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. So happy you've introduced yourself and made the committment to get healthier. The ADBB has many motivational forums to help you stay focused as well as wonderul inspirational people that want to help you succeed. Get invovled in all the activities (challenges, journals and chats)...make friends and enjoy the healthy changes you make. Wishing you the best - keep posting and let us know how you are doing.
