  • Ok, here I go again. Starting over. Tomorrow is day 1!

I'm starting Atkins again. I went through a time period of doing low calorie and low carb, then just low calories, then just low carb, then the holidays...(hehe), then I tried to get back on track and had a little sucess. And now I'm ready to start again. I'm at 145 and I'm trying for 130 or as many inches as I can get. I'm aiming for Feb. 14th. (easy date to remember lol) It seems plausable. This time I'll be working out, something I didn't do last time. But, I have been for a while now and decided to go back to Atkins for the last 15 pounds.
I was really bad today, which depressed me at first. But, now I've switched it around and used it as motivation to do better.....ok, so I'm still a little depressed. lol I mean come on, I've eaten close to 3000 calories today. That's pretty d*mn bad. But, I only at 600 yesterday. (not that that really evens it out)
But anywho, long story short...I'm getting started again and I can't wait.

Hi I'm new to Atkins today too. I am also cringing about the amount of calories we're eating but Dr. Atkins book said not to think about that. Eat the food in Induction and trust the science. I've vowed to myself to not think about it and let it happen because the low fat, low cal thing never worked for me. So I figure if I can to 300 + pounds on low fat, then meet and cheese and veggies are what are gonna get me to a new thinner me.

I eat on average 1,600 to 1,700 calories and am losing weight with no issues. Please don't cring about the calories...one of the benefits of Atkins is that you actually get to eat.

First off I wanted to say WELCOME!!!!! Second is I have came off of a low calorie diet for Atkins, and I have been doing it now for almost 3 weeks, but it did take me a while to get use to eating all of the things that I had previously stayed away from....so yes, it is alright to eat that many calories, and YES you will loss weight!!! I can't wait to hear about your success!!!!

LOL, I worried a bit about that, but once I got on a roll here, I'm having to force myself to eat! For 3 days now, I've ended up having to eat the other half of my supper for breakfast because I couldn't finish it all! I've lost 10# and that was with me still addicted to my diet mt dews! I'm almost 72 hrs now without one and doing better, but I still have to take excedrin for the caffeine withdrawal headache by 3pm or I'm miserable.....You will be fine! Just follow the foodlist, drink your water and eat your veggies!
