YEs, up to the limit mentioned in the Rules of Induction
lemon juice or lime juice (note that each contains 2.8 grams carbohydrate per ounce); limit to two to three tablespoons
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies? Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
If it's of interest... I had a hard time drinking all that water at first, but a couple things I've found to keep it interesting are:
Adding just a little Crystal Light (I like a 3:1 ratio of water to prepared Crystal Light) to give it flavor; or
Making Spa Water -- per half-gallon of water, add 1/4 cup of finely chopped cucumber and half of a small lemon or lime, thinly sliced. Let it sit overnight before drinking so the flavors can come together. Give it a good shake and it's ready to go!
It's absolutely luscious and, even if you eat the cucumbers as you're drinking and mash the fruit slices to get the most citrus flavor, it only has 3.6 carbs in the entire half-gallon. Try it sometime!
Finally... if it's just lemon flavor you're looking for, you might try making a strong cup of lemon verbena or lemongrass herbal tea and using that to flavor your water instead. No carbs whatsoever.

Wow... if you can't, it's news to me. Hasn't kept me out of ketosis, or from losing weight. But then, I've been drinking it in very small proportions becuase of the dilution.
I don't remember seeing it forbidden in DANDR -- I can look again -- but maybe one of the veteran Atkineers knows...?

Okay... Dr. Atkins recommended avoiding aspartame (Nutrasweet), though not because it stalled ketosis. The pre-mixed Crystal Light in bottles is made with sucralose (Splenda), which *is* Atkins-approved.
That said, some recommend not even using artificial sweeteners during induction so as to break the craving for sweets. Click here to read why.
