    Chromium is also a great supplement to curb those sweet cravings.

      Okay, I thought I was just missing the salty stuff up until yesterday. I broke down and had three bites of cookie dough icecream. I felt like such a failure...I soon went to bed so I couldnt do anymore damage.

      I will say though, this morning when I looked in the mirror, it was the first time I could visualy see a loss. I have not been using my scale nor have I measured but my stomach shrunk.

        I see a few of us like the salty stuff. As for your cookie ice cream. Just get back on that wagon right away, don't dwell on that slip.

            I love chicken skin too. My husband hates skin on his chicken breast and chicken thighs. So he gives it to me. Maybe I shouldn't be eating it, but it's so good to me!

              I do keep atkins bars on hand for emergencies, like when everyone else is having birthday cake or something special, but the other day i noticed i couldnt even use a whole pkt of splenda in my coffe, its wayyy too sweet I can only use half now. Btw this is week 5(after re re re re re re start) for me and down 15lbs.

                The first 4-5 days of Induction, I dreamt of candy and fighting the temptation to indulge was tough; but I knew it was temporary and by the end of the week, the cravings were gone. What a relief! My idea of a big toot these days is some pork rinds with salsa and sour cream ... nom nom!

                  My husband also hates chicken skin so either I remove the skin from his portion and put it on my plate before serving it (when roasting a chicken) or remove the skin before cooking it and bake that in the oven separately.

                    I'm blown away by the info you've provided, Mother Earth. I don't crave sweets now but I used to. But I do think I can benefit from the L-glutamine. Thanks for the info.

                      The L-glutamine vitamins are great. Maybe thats a reason why I don't really crave sweets. I have been taking amino acids on and off for the past 10 years. I just looked at the vitamins I take now and that's one of the aminos in it. I was shocked.
