  • Not a Lot of Lbs, But still Smiling

As I come to the close of my two week Induction (Friday), I could not wait any longer and I jumped on the scale this morning. To my great disappointment I have not lost any more weight. I have lost a total of 3 lbs. I went over the past two weeks thinking of my meals and realizing I have done everything right. I thought about all of the exercise I have done (everyday, resistance and/or cardio) and scratched my head and wondered "why can't I lose more?" Then it hit me. Muscle mass! I have been gaining muscle mass which of course weighs more than fat. My face looks thinner, my clothes feel better, and I feel super healthy. If I do not let myself get discouraged and keep this up, I predict I will start to see the weight really start coming off with all my bad-a** muscle mass eating up the fat!

That pesky muscle! Why does it have to weigh so much?! You're doing great ... keep it up! Good work.

I love that you realized that building muscle was the cause of not losing a ton of weight on Induction. Fantastic conclusion & right on!! Keep on pumping that iron!!

Congratulations on converting fat to muscle!!

Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

We can expect to lose 5-10% of the weight we need to lose during the 14 Dy Induction. You have a 30 pound weight loss goal according to your siggy. So that means you lost 10%, which means you are TOTALLY on target!

So don't be sad, you're doing GREAT!

I agree with Kim, measure yourself! When I'm not losing pounds I'm almost always still losing inches. Especially if I'm exercising! Way to go for your loss so far!

And Elizellen, that picture is SO GROSS! Talk about motivation! Ick!
