Any ideas to fight an urge for chocolate? Is there a low carb substitue?

    Re: Chocolate

I wish. The world would be perfect if there was.
The first thing to consider is why do you crave chocolate. Maybe your body is telling you you need certain minerals. I would try a magnesium supplement. Taking a bit of magnesium is great when you are low carbing.
Cocoa powder is allowed on rung 3 - so there is relief just around the corner.

Milk is not on the induction list - neither is chocolate as far as I understand it.

Or try drinking a bottle of water to fill you up! And then you won't be hungry for chocolate...

OK we're on the same page. But once you get to rung three you can have dark chocolate. The real thing.

                Re: Chocolate

Somewhere on this board (and I don't have any idea where.. it was an older post)... it says that cocoa powder can be considered a spice. Mix a little cocoa powder, a packet of Splenda and an ounce of cream cheese. Let set in the fridge or freezer until firm and enjoy like a piece of fudge.

Of course, don't do it often and be sure and count the carbs in the cocoa and Splenda.

                Enjoy!

I was thinking you could add the Walden Farms syrup or Coccoa powder with splenda to Heavy cream!
